Our Story
Benzy's Island Brew was born from the time we spent on Oahu while serving in the military. Those years on the island changed us — the slow mornings with a cup of rich Kona coffee, the sound of the ocean, the warmth of the people. When we came back to the mainland, we knew we had to bring a piece of that with us.
Now based in Madison, Wisconsin, Benzy's Island Brew is our way of sharing the aloha spirit with our community. We serve Hawaiian-inspired coffee drinks in a space that's relaxed, welcoming, and full of good energy.
The name “Benzy” comes from our family name, Bednarczyk. “Island Brew” is what we're all about — coffee crafted with the spirit of the islands. We want every visit to feel like a little escape from the everyday.
What's Next
Our dream is to eventually own a coffee farm and roast our own beans. Until then, we're focused on crafting the best cup we can and building a space that feels like home. Whether you're a Madison local or just passing through, there's always a spot waiting for you.
